About Us

Kelsey Publishing Ltd is a UK based, privately owned publisher of special interest and enthusiasts' magazines and books. We have around 100 employees with offices in Peterborough and Cudham, Kent.

The company was incorporated in 1989, led by the current Chairman, Gordon Wright. Gordon had previously owned a design and print company and was one of the three founders of Practical Classics, launched in 1980. It was the sale of this magazine which left Gordon looking for a new venture when he started Kelsey Publishing. Finance Director, Steve Annetts has worked with Gordon since 1985 and joined Kelsey at the outset. Gordon's son, Steve Wright, joined the company in 2003, leaving a career in the City for publishing. He was working on the launch of Practical Poultry within a few weeks, now Kelsey's fastest growing magazine. He became Managing Director in 2005. Gordon continues to play a pivotal role in the company.
